Several MSD ignitions have a nitrous retard that only retards timing when the solenoids are getting power. As for your first question I think you wanna know how much to retard your timing....it depends on how much of a shot.....at 75 you can retard a degree or two.....

I think it is something like 2-3 degrees every 50 hp, I know it is in the NX install instructions.

The MSD Dig 6 will only retard the timing when you spray.

Yep, the hyfire VI 685 has a high speed timing retard that is triggered off of 12v.

I've never had a problem with my MSD stuff and I've heard of people having problems with Mallory stuff.

So do you think that mallory stuff is worth it? Or is it just a headache waiting to happen? Didnt axion already install it on his car?

yeah, I got it on my car. So far I haven't had a problem, and the built in timing retard and window switch are sweet. And for the money, there isn't anything that can match it.

Like I said I've never dealt with Mallory. However I know that MSD products work.
