Strip Drag Racing with NOS - Honda Prelude Forum

What do you launch at? What kind of tires were you using? What kind of times? How big a shot?

Mine:

Drop/Launch at 3-4k
Get a 'little' wheelspin on my huge 18's with Toyo FZ4's
No wheel hop. Goes all the way up, spins to 7.9k, shift, catch second in VTEC.. 60 foot times are about 2.5

1/4 times yesterday were sad, 14.4 @ 98

When I had my NOS kit with 18" Racing Harts, I could never get any lower than 14.3-4 with it. Did about the same as you except I never ran it into redline. But I was able to dip into the 13's when I swapped my stock rims onto the front of the car. So your times are about right where they should be. With the 18's you just can't get a good 60' time. But after you get going the car can move.

malkin man,,, go get some 15 inch rims and go get some M/T's slicks

i have them and they kick some major ass. i only have used them once but launching from 5500 RPM and not even a squeek from the rubber, its such a BLISS thing for a FWD car. im sure u can dip into the 13's easy. and your 60 ft times will be like 2.0-1.9's its cool man, for the price of this mod it makes a world of differince
