Spark plug question

I was doing some searching and found two types of NGK plugs that people were recommending. The BKR7 and the ZFR7. Someone was saying the ZFR7 gave a little better throttle response while off of the bottle. Is it also one step colder? I will be using a 50 shot. Also what exactly should I look for after spraying to ensure something isnt wrong. Pics would be nice also. BTW I'm asking this cause I just wrote a check for my NX kit and should be getting it soon.

Thanks

Yes they are one step colder. What are the Z's made out of? I'm betting platinum.

I would recommend using the ZFR7F-11 plugs instead of the BKR7 plugs. I have ran both and the ZFR7F-11 seems to be a lot more responsive. The stock plugs in a 5th gen are PZFR6F-11, the P designating it is a platinum plug. The ZFR7F-11 is identical to the stock plug, but one step colder and is a copper plug.

laughin2.2 - do you think you can add the ZFR7F-11 plug to the newbie sticky, I feel it is a better plug all around than the BKR7 plug is.

Here is the NGK spark plug breakdown for what each number/letter means

I'll add the plug to the list, but I will put a disclaimer by it until I can test it out myself or I receive more reports that these plugs work. Every car is different and I have to know that these work on most, if not all, of our setups before I go recommending them. Sound fair?

Thanks for the response. I'll go ahead and give them a try and I'll report back after I have them. BTW do think a local auto parts store would have these or will I have to order them?

Napa should be able to get them if they don't stock them.
