Should a 65 dry zex shot make for a close race?

I have an H23... 160hp plus a 65 shot (to the crank). I want to know if this would equal a pretty even race with an RSX type S. I am asking after the races I had to see how you think it should have turned out. Basically I beat him both times but just by about a length. Do you think this is right or something is up?

Here is the street race thread.
h23 with 65shot vs RSX type S

You are should be pushing 180ish hp/tq to the wheels, sounds like you might not be completely there. Was the RSX-S stock or was it modded. That motor picks up a lot from an intake and exhaust, something like 20 horse. If he has a few bolt ons I'd say it sounds good.

Haha. There are a million different factors that would need to be taken into consideration to figure out if you should have won by more or at all. You won, be happy. You might lose to the next one. If you want to know how much power you are putting out hit up a dyno.

Have you dyno'd with a wideband O2 yet? You might be able to pick up a few more hp and get a nicer power curve.

one more question....

If a stock SI runs a 15.6, and I ran a almost stock RSX type S that runs a stock time of 14.8-14.9, then a 65 shot of zex takes about .75 off my time.

Think this is about the right amount of performance for the size of the shot?

I knocked 1.4 seconds off of my ET with a 65 shot and I didn't get a really clean run in either.
Do you have a bottle heater?

yea i do... but the switch overheats and smokes since I have a poor ground, so it wasnt working at the time. The seat was down leading into the trunk, and the heat was on. I know this isnt nearly warm enough to get the pressure up, but i dont think it was as cold as it could have been.

You know you need to get that fixed if you want to win more often.
