results- 1/4 mile and dyno

ok i cant keep it from ya any longer. got the edelbrock kit in thursday evening. had it done at 430am. came back to osu and went to class friday, then went back to okc to run it at the track. .024'' fuel, .042'' n20. equals about an 80 shot, jetted a little rich.

14.72, 2.36 60', 95.65 mph
14.69, 2.37 60', 97.29 mph
14.58, 2.32 60', 96.34 mph
14.73, 2.39 60', 95.61 mph
14.54, 2.28 60', 95.39 mph
14.53, 2.34 60', 96.80 mph

the only 2.2 i ran, i let off of wot at the tree, then punched it again. actually worked.

before i went to the track i called up PowerHouse to see when i could dyno, asap. ive got a few friends that work up there, and they told me to come in saturday morning. so i went. results:

off the bottle [60* hotter than when i dynoed the 152.9hp 134.7tq]:
140.3hp, 124.3tq

on the bottle:
195.3hp, 194.7tq

was kinda wanting a little more hp from the dyno, but i got the 1/4 times i wanted

so, wheres that guy that was sayin something about me runnin 16s ON the bottle?

92 si vtec auto judging by his sig.....is that kit dry or wet? Im guessing dry based on the fact you gained less than 50 whp.....

Good results based on what your working with

92 2.3 non vtec auto.

wet shot, and if youll look a little closer, it gained not less than 50whp, but 55whp exactly. runnin it a little rich as well

i would be disappointed if it was 55 crank hp that i gained, but this is to the ground.. and the whole part of me going from low 16s to a damn 14.5 is a slightly large jump in 1/4 time.

horsepower and torque are one thing, horsepower and torque to the ground is another.. apparently im getting what i have to the ground

Nice times!! I would have expected a little higher dyno #s with an 80shot but it definately got ya the times you wanted. I dont know I guess 55whp is about right...I'm just used to my NX kit thats rated at the wheels for hp.

all i got was hp and tq, nothin extra. im gonna get a wideband o2 sensor so we can actually get good readouts. ill pm you tonite

thanks padge! im definately here to stay. tonite i used the rest of my 3rd bottle

refilling in okc on tuesday. dont think ill be using it as often though. i had to get used to it.. first bottle friday morning after we got it hooked up. topped it off later that day when to run 1/4 mile [7 pounds], then topped off again saturday morning [another 7 pounds]. then tonite i used the rest of what i could. thinkina bout goin and buyin a digital scale so i can see how much i have left. i have the bottle mounted kinda *** cause i wanted to be able to use my current sub box and hide the bottle.. but i just cant use enough of the n2o when i have it mounted like it is.. so screw the sub box. im making some custom enclosures this week to solve that problem.. and then ill be able to mount the bottle at more of an angle, and from front to back instead of side to side. im excited

All done. You might as well go ahead and check your plugs if you haven't yet. Let us know how they look.

I think the fun wears off after a while. I just finished my second bottle and have had it for 8 months or so. I might spray once a month now on the street and then the rest is from the track.

if i can get some decent races on the street it wont be wearing off. the other night just sucked cause eveyrone was mid 15s or slower, or low 13s or faster. i was screwed. my goal right now is to race my buddy in his 02 s2000. his best time ever is a 13.8, but does ~14.2s consistently. so he'd be a good race for me. i love street racing becuase anything can happen. you might run 14 flat at the track all day, but reaction time on the street really makes a huge diff. so, like i said. i need a piece of this s2k. im really diggin this

plus my walbro 255 will be here wednesday, and i think we all know what that means

Be careful. If you raise the shot too much you'll just burn the tires off. Good luck with the S2k.

thats another thing, i think i might go ahead and buy some drag radials. some ppl think i should get some slicks.. but im notsure i could take full advantage of a set of slicks... getting them warm enough to acutually hook good.

what do you think?
