I ask this question because of a concern I have for when I autox. Nitrous bottles are not allowed on site during autox... meaning even if I don't spray, I'm still not allowed to carry the bottle in my car... so I'll have to pull the bottle out before I go to the autox.
So basically my question is... does the bottle have to be empty prior to removing it? Or is there just some shut off valve so I can take the bottle in and out of the car whenever I want?
also, you want to make sure you have that valve closed when the nitrous is hooked up to the car and you aren't using it, as your solenoids will still leak some out. I don't like to keep my bottle open for more than 15 minutes or so, it also saves wear on the solenoids.
and one more thing, solenoid based remote openers will leak nitrous too. So if you are in the market for a remote bottle opener a mechanical one has some advantages, though it costs a little more.

The leak isn't too bad though. Wreckdiver had his main solenoids fail and used his solenoid controlled bottle opener to cut nitrous flow to the engine, still uses it, and has no problems with it.
