PUUUUUURGE: How did you set it up?

I am getting bored and thinking about setting my purge up to spray some different way. Does anyone have it spraying some unique way? What do you think would be cool?

Also, I use fuel lines for the n2o to purge out of, is this ok? The reason for this is they are cheap and very flexible, plus it isnt like they are holding the n2o for anything but giving it a path to exit.

The fuel likes should be OK as long as they aren't affected by how cold it gets. However the purge line shouldn't do any harm if it goes, as long as you don't have a fire going on under the hood previously.

SS fuel hose might work for a while, but any line that isnt solid or wrapped in steel will break. I TRIED! I tried vacuum, fuel, and several other kinds and they each blew up after 1 or 2 purges. So use a SS braided nylon line or you can try a SS braided rubber and you might be ok.

Nobody said that it was. However, it is a damn good catalyst for a combustion reaction.

The nitrous is flowing through the line from the solenoid to open air. There is no pressure being held by the line; i doubt the line busted from purging.

I got a copper tubing kit from autozone for $13 and am gonna hook it up to purge from the middle of the hood up the windshield.

MNLudeDVR, I like your setup. That sounds like it looks badass. Any pics you could post up?

I was originally going to try to route the two tubes to the front nostrils, but when i received the kit, the tubing was plastic tubing (carried at home depot in the plumbing area), and wasn't sure there was a safe place to run the tubes without them melting. Also, haven't had a problem with the plastic tubes at all, just a PITA to get them in the little brass fittings...

sorry for the crappy pic, was very dark when we took it and since that pic, i've changed the angle so they actually do shoot out at the angle i stated:
NOTE: not me in the pic

All the noids are under the rainguard, so it was easy to run each purge line to the edge.

Wrong, that is like saying since your fogger terminates into the open air (intake) it has no pressure. The pressure is in the bottle and blowing out the lines. The purge line is fully pressureized (maybe not the 1000psi, but very high). I watched 5/8 inch fuel hose swell to 1.5 inches before exploding....it was cool in a way.....

well, not sure if u mean mods or just nitrous setup, so i'll list both

JDM h22a
ebay intake with apexi dual funnel filter
AEM pulleys
JDM header (don't think it's any different than US)
catco hi-flow cat
Apex'i WS catback
hondata s200 with chipped p72

NOS cheater fuel and n20 noids
dynotune bottle heater, dual purge, digital guages (fuel pres, EGT)
currently at a 50 shot, once new clutch goes in, i'll be bumping that up to a 85 or 100 shot...either way i'd like to get 75 at the wheels

What about internals? Are you ever gonna be worried about them when you up the shot? About how many miles are on your J-spec engine and how many have you put on it since you've had nitrous?

Btw, you ever ran at a track? Any performance #s for your car?

stock internals, yeah i'm worried whenever i spray! the s200 has a full nitrous control feature where it will retard timing for me and what not, j-spec motor was bought from hmotorsonline so dunno the exact mileage, but i've put on about 10K since i got the motor from them, only had nitrous for about a month before the winter came and i unhooked the bottle.

haven't been at the track, but this summer i'll be there once/month! as soon as i get everything for my hondata so i can tune myself, i'll be heading over to a dyno to get some datalogging done...and i'll get some numbers!

can't wait for it to get nice out!

I'm just saying if you really want "insurance" so to speak once you start going with a shot that big (100), you might wanna look into internal modifications.

I'm anticipating some dyno/strip #'s.

well, since it is NOS, the 100 shot is about equal to the NX 75 shot, i've heard, (yes, i know, heard doesn't mean anything) of others running 75 shot NX's just fine..we'll see what i decide can't wait to get on the dyno!
