I think he was referring to legality issues in the state of CA. Just be careful man, you definitely don't want your car getting abducted.

btw, you should think about getting a wet kit converted from your dry kit. You'd be much more satisfied with your nitrous system IMO. However, the dynos don't look too bad, so kudos to you.

I guess, although I think the NX wet kit is the best bang for the buck. Much better kit than any NOS system IMO. Nonetheless, I still am jealous of you for having nitrous in general. One day, one day...

NX kits don't really produce more power, they just use larger jetting. However the NX noids tend to take abuse better than the NOS noids

Actually, I'm fairly sure they do make better power considering they measure their shots (jets) at the wheels. So, a 75 shot is much stronger than a 75 shot of NOS would be. Plus, their noids are made to hold much more pressure, and heat resistance, which you mentioned.

you're not getting it. what he's saying is it doesn't make more power simply because its an NX kit. they're using bigger jets than the other guys to get their numbers. for example. if NOS used the same jets, they'd make about 75 at the wheels, and they'd call it a 95 shot or whatever it made at the crank.

sure, there are differences in the nozzle design, blah blah blah. but that's not the point Axion68's trying to make.

Indeed.

You can fill a NOS or an NX nitrous kit at any fill station, they run on the same nitrous. I'm sure nozzle design might factor something in, but they all use similar designs/functionality. Nitrous kits aren't like a header where one yields more power than another. If you want more power from your nitrous kit put bigger jets in, simple as that.

But I will agree with you on the noids, being that we haven't had any failures that I know of here on PO. NX is a good route to go, but not because of power gains from their "labeled" shot size. It's more or less marketing for them, since a 75 shot of NX is a lot stronger than a 75 shot of NOS/ZEX/Vennom/etc...

Okay. Gotcha. That's a good point, i never thought of it that way. So, basically all kits are the same, minus the different nozzle/solenoid configurations?

yep, they are all very similar. The horsepower will be there, it is just the quality of the equipment that matters.
