i'm piecing a nitrous kit together and was wondering if the size of the jets only depend on the nozzle used? if i get a NX nozzle, do i need NX jets then?
Also, what solenoids do you guys recommend for not more than a 75 shot?
I would get the same brand of jets as the nozzle you get. The NX jets are physically bigger, so you can't use them with a NOS nozzle and you can't use NOS jets with an NOS nozzle.
I'd say buy a kit with all new stuff, but if you insist Ebay has good stuff alot of times. Just go with one brand though. You can mix and match noids to nozzles/jets, but it will just require more work to tune.
I've had really bad luck with the superpowershots as have some other people. I'd go with Cheaters or NX noids. The NOS cheater noids have teflon seals instead of the dinky rubber ones that come in the super powershots. I honestly haven't researched the difference between the NX and NOS nozzles, so i can't give you a reason as to why you should get one over the other.
I'd try Ebay. I've had luck going to S & S before also. However, S & S is Chevy shop and they do not like uneducated import drivers. Elite should have their number. Give them a call or stop by their shop and ask if they have any used Cheater solenoid that they'd be willing to sell. They may only have blown ones, which you would need to rebuild. New seals go for $40 and new coils are around the same price. Take that into consideratoin before you buy a blown noid.
I know how to get there, but I don't know street names. Call Elite and get their address. They shop is off of Broadway, but you have to drive through the ghetto area to get there.
i can't seem to find any NX noids and instead of just rebuilding older cheater noids, the cheapest i've found r new ones at jegs for
fuel: 64.99
n20: 95.99
i just checked summit and fuel is 64.95 and n2o is 95.95....so i guess i'll go there and save 10 cents! do the cheater series have different sizes than the powershot noids? i'm wondering if i'll have to buy new NOS hose to fit the cheater series
The cheaters are larger noids than the powershots noids. You wouldn't need larger line if the orifices were different sizes. A male-male pipe fitting would do just fine.
