Nitrous setup

I know this has been covered but....
I bought a 50 shot NX wet kit and I want to know what I should do to keep my car running well...
So far I've searched and found that (Aside from making sure everything is tuned up and in good working order) I should go with 1 step colder plugs, best rec. was the copper number 7 NGK's... Then also that I should retard my timing. Is the timing part absolutely crucial or is this something I'll have to answer myself by getting on a dyno? Also, if I did need to retard my timing, what parts am I gonna need to buy if any? I appreciate any constructive feedback on this

retarding timing depends on what octane fuel your going to use....

use 100 octane and dont worry about retarding timing....

oh ****......nevermind you have an OBD II engine.....sorry there is no way for you to retard timing unless you have a chipped ecu
