Sup fellas, I was debating on getting the crower stage 2 cams for my 5th gen ss lude. Right now my mods include I/E/P/65 shot. Would the stage 2 cams hold up when I use my nitrous or would I need to do anything else? Is anyone currently running stage 2 cams with their nitrous set up? If so what kind and what other mods do you have? Can anyone recomend some good cams to be used with nitrous (if they even exist)?
**UPDATE-My car is curently being worked on after the car crash I got into on Dec. 3rd. I'm most likely gonna be making off with $1500 from the insurance so I'm looking to buy some cams for my nitrous setup.**
Dude then go for the gold, do the Skunk2 Stage 2 cams. These things are nutz. Vtec hits like a sledgehammer. Im gonna be doing a 75-150 shot on top of that.

Would that be all that I would need? Would they be able to handle the nitrous suitably?
Originally posted by Ritteri Just fine. The Nitrous will just enhance the cam or vice versa. Plus you need springs and retainers too. Keep your stock CR.
Sweet man. So all I would need if I went skunk2 stage 2 cams would be springs, retainers, and new valves? I wouldn't have to upgrade my fuel or anything like that? What does CR mean btw? Compression ratio?
You should be okay with the stg.2's, but I would recommend some fuel management modification, even if it's just a V-AFC, because you will be running a little leaner I'd imagine, and you don't want that with nitrous.

You may need a fuel pump and fpr also. A 65 shot plus big cams will be eating alot of fuel. If you gain 20 hp or more with your cams I'd go ahead and spend the extra $250 for the fuel upgrades.
