N2O and built engine

For a few months I have wanted to go turbo but I really don't want to spend all the money to rebuild the engine then get the turbo install it and have a possiblility of it still blowing a piston. With N2O is there a great possiblility of blowing a piston, and if so would rebuilding my bottom end fix that?

I figure I would ask this here instead of starting a new thread. I want to get a 50 shot of N2O, probably NX wet kit but which one do I get (dual, single) and where should I install the nozzle(s)? Also, should I get purge, bottle warmer, remote bottle opener? What guages should I get? Anything else I should get to make it really safe and get the most out of it? I don't mind spending a little bit of moeny to make it nice. Any recommendations will help.

I have a 98 base SS.

forged pistons and new rods (crower and such) will help for running a big shot, but the fact of the matter is that a 50 shot isn't a big shot. You can safely run a 75 shot of NX (or a 100 shot of NOS) on stock internals, many people have done so. As for the kit, you will probably want a single fogger nozzle (or if you plan on upgrading over a 75 shot then a direct port kit), purge, bottle warmer and n2o pressure guage. A remote bottle opener is just for convenience, but I do recommend the other items.

How much would a complete kit with all the extras and install cost around?

i think without all my extras
its about $800-900
depending on where u get it from

Purge and a heater are very necessary to get good long term performance out of your nitrous. Purge helps your solenoids live longer and you need that warmer to keep the pressure up enough to make the best power

I feel like damn gilligan, stuck on this damn island where people come on and go but I am stuck. I had a civic and I wanted to hook it up but I couldn't cause my parents bought it for me. So I sold it and bought teh lude and now that I can mod it, I can't cause it will not be reliable. SO I try to buy a new car but nothing is good under 30k.

I feel like crying myself to sleep thinking about how I want to get a nice high paying job so I can pay for my exspensive taste.

Well I am going to school right now for accounting and computer information systems. I don't plan on doing that all my life. What I really wanna do is open my own jewelry store that does a lot of custom work. I don't see myself driving turbo'd car with a suit on going to an office building
