you will want to get atleast the coil (the one I suggested is compatible). depending on the condition of your wires/dist. cap you might want the replace them as well. If you have more than 50k or so on your dist. cap then I would replace it. For your wires they should be good till 100k, but you might replace them since you are upgrading your whole ignition system.
So you just suggest getting the coil, because my car only has 20,000 miles on it, im not even close to having to replace the plugs or the distributor, but are you sure thats the right coil to use, look wat it says on the site. - For Street and Strip: High energy coil for street driven vehicles with breaker point ignitions. Effective up to 6,500 RPM. Do not use with any of the Mallory HYFIRE Series of Electronic Ignition Controls. It says dont use it with the hyfire electronics? And do you think with a NX 75 shot should i be running 1 step colder plugs or 2 step? And what plugs brand wise would you recommend ?

make sure you are looking at the 650-29440's description, it is above the part number. Since you can retard your timing with this ignition I would recommend 1 step colder plugs and retard your timing 3-4 degrees with a 75 shot. With 2 step colder plugs and a 75 shot there *shouldn't* be any detonation problems on stock timing, so you *should* be able to run the 1 step colder plugs and some retarding. You will want to check for detonation though, since every motor is unique on what it takes.
I'm currently running an NX 50 shot with stock heat range plugs and 3 degrees of timing retard and don't have any detonation problems, so you might try that as a starting point.
I would recommend running NGK copper plugs, BKR7E-11 or the ZFR6F-11. I've had better luck off the bottle with the ZFR7F-11 plugs since they are virtually the same as the stock platinum plugs but are copper and 1 step colder.
I haven't had any problems with it. While Mallory isn't as big of a company as MSD, they are still used on a lot of race cars. I wasn't surprised when I saw a few nitrous pro mod cars running mallory ignitions this past weekend.
