I need a new clutch for my nitrous setup...

I have never gotten a straight answer from anyone about an aftermarket clutch perfect for a 55-75 shot that isnt too "hard" to drive normally with.

What does everyone have? What do you recommend?

TIA

I like my exedy thin disk cerametallic. A bit rough at first, but after some miles and practice its turning out to be relativly smooth.....It will handle a butload of power too......plus its very well priced.

i'm putting in my ACT XTSS this weekend, but it's probably too "hard" for what you want. The pedal pressure is quite a bit more stiff than the stock feel...

I just drove on my Exedy Cerametallic 3-puck today for the first time, and it's very nice! I got a good deal on mine, so I don't know what they cost new. The pedal is a good bit stiffer than stock, but it's not too stiff by any means. It is pretty easy to slip, so getting started is not a problem. It grabs nice and hard, and it should handle a lot of power. I'm gonna be making about ~260WHP and it should handle every bit of it.

We carry custom made clutches to each application. If you're looking for daily driveability with good durability and wearability, I'd suggest our copper/kevlar combination. Stock pedal feel, kevlar on the flywheel side and copper on the pressure plate side. It's been working really well in all the ludes we've installed them in. It'll hold up to 275whp. The kevlar side not only prevents clutch chatter but it also saves the life of your flywheel (especially good if you have an aftermarket flywheel). The copper on the pressure plate side takes most of the beating.

I'm currently experimenting with a different clutch material in my 5th gen, it's Kevlar/Ferramic. Still has stock pedal feel but chatters only if you ride the clutch out. With just a little more gas effort, there is no chatter at all. I just got rid of my Zex kit and installed a NOS 80shot single fogger and the clutch grabs awesome. Took it out on the track and it performed great. Let me know if you want more info.
