I had to reinstall my kit on friday. Everything seems to be connected fine. Fuel Regulator line runs into the barney box, then a line runs out of the intake barb on the box and i connect it to the IM. I even upped my shot to a 65, I have run it twice and too be honest I dont think I feel a thing.
This is how I have my bottle mounted, is this right? I see no cloud what so ever when I purge, so that seems strange.
Also I checked my plugs for detonation and they look fine. I have no idea what could be wrong, I know the box is programmed fine.
It's best if you have it mounted front to back, 45 deg counter clockwise rotation. Then when you accel all the nitrous is forced to the end of the tube inside the bottle. But as for not getting any pwr the bottle position should have nothing to do with it.
I know that, but you can set it up this way as well (and I do since I have subs in the trunk). Does anyone know if this is tilted correctly or incorrectly?
Padge, have you checked the barney box light to make sure that when you flip the nitrous activation switch there is a green light? You may have to reprogram the nmu. As far as your bottle is concerned it is mounted fine. Right now I have a zex purge and I have never seen a big cloud of nitrous when I purge above 800psi. When my bottle pressure is lower then I see more visible nitrous clouds.
First, the bottle is mounted correctly. For those who don't know, the tube inside the bottle goes from the top/middle where the valve is to the bottom edge. The straw goes to the bottom edge in the same direction the valve on the top is pointed. Basically, the setup he has there will force anything in the bottle back to the straw. If you mount the bottle sideways, 45 degrees toward the rear is best. If you mount the bottle with the valve toward the front, straight down is best.
If I were you I'd take the nitrous nozzle out of your intake, start the car and go WOT in neutral and see if you vent n2o at all.
