Help with my Nitrous setup.

Hey. I've decided that I want to go with nitrous on my car because turbo builds and superchargers are just way too much $$, but I think a progressive n20 build would be easier on me.
I want to spend like 1500 initially on this. and possibly low end build later.

I'm gonna list everything about the setup and tell me if the price is high or low and offer your opinion or other link where I can get it. Thanks.

NX single fogger kit $520 (take a look at this store and tell me what you think… it says SRT4 but couldn’t I specify that I want this # kit? I need a better source, seems really low..)
121-6520 Digital-6 Plus Ignition $279.99
121-8956 RPM Activated Window Switch $78.99
121-8252 Blaster HVC Coil $109.99

I got 986.00 for that alone. lets say another 150 for shipping.
1136.00.

Now where can I get there guages all matching. Where can I get them all matching for a reasonable price. trying to keep this all 1500.00-1800.00 but if it runs over thats okay. Not looking for anything to flashly, but functional..

N20 Bottle Pressure Gauge
EGT
A/F (digital)
fuel pressure
Bottle warmer
Purge valve
driverside pillar mount

and if you have these where the hell did you put them all?

If all this ends up the cost of roughly a turbo on paper my decision may change. As you post suggestions I'll edit it and add links. Also a direct kit seems to be a possibility, but I've been reading and laughin seems to recommend the wet single fogger kit. If I did the NA build would it be better to get the direct port now or just play aroudn with this one and see if I like it. I may not even do the NA build, so yea.. looking at the wet single fogger as linked above.

Looking to accomplish this by Summer 2004

I would look at getting the NX Gen-2 upgrade, it has a purge, bottle heater (thermastically controlled) and a blow down tube.

where can I get the NS single fogger kit with the upgrade. any sponsors do nitrous here?

I also heard from word of mouth that I could get the MSD w/ the coil for like 150.. is that true? I got that store site for MSD stuff from you axion from a thread awhile back.

Anyone have an online dealer thats cheaper then the prices in the first thread. thanks.

you can pick up the basic MSD 6 series ignition for a little cheaper

I like the newer digi ignitions that are out on the market now, they generally operate cleaner and have more functions.

yeah, that is the digi one. if you are looking at not spending that much money though you could always opt for the 6 series, in specefic the 6AL.

Like it was said, get the gen2 upgrade and wet NX kit....DP kits are closer to 1000 anyways.....you should have a pretty well rounded system for 1500.....as for guages, Id just get a nitrous pressure and fuel pressure guages....they are all you really need....shipping on the kit isnt that expensive either...

How big of a shot are you wanting to run too? You dont really even need an ignition like that if you arent running bigger than a 50 shot.

I wouldn't worry about a progressive controller for just a 75 shot, especially when you are just starting out. NX's basic single fogger kit will work just fine for your application. Pick up the Genx2 upgrade kit, like previously mentioned, as well as a Dig 6 and a Blaster SS coil(save some cash over that HVC). Fuel press. and nitrous press. are your main worries. I prefer mechanical gauges mounted on the lines for discreetness and price, but do what you will. Spend some time on the dyno getting everything tuned in. A fpr and a VAFC will make short work of tuning and pretty much anybody can work them.
Oh yeah, I forgot. BFG drag radials. Definately get some BFGs to get rid of your traction issues.

Have you thougt about a dual stage setup. Run a 35 shot at start then hit your 75 shot to finish? I think progressive direct port system would be awesome. From what I've read, I'd say you should upgrade your fuel system overall but start with your fuel pump. Also for 75 shot you'd want at least step 1 colder plugs, and the ignition system you were talking about. Bottle heater for sure, I agree. Purge system, yes. Nitrous pressure and fuel pressure gauges, yes. I would also look at getting a fuel pressure regulator and even a Apexi VAFC.
Although having your exhaust system, underdrive pulley's, headers, free flowing "carb legal" cat, and a cold air intake help out a lot too.

I don't have nitrous but from what I've read this is my opinion.
I too want a dual stage at this moment but I'm thinking about direct port. I like NOS's NOSzle system where the fuel injector is inserted into the "NOSzle" and then that piece sprays nitrous and more fuel along side the fuel injector. I really like the NXL, where the entire assembly is in the fuel rail, although unfortunately, to my knowledge, then don't have them available for H22 lovers. I really am interested in the dual stage set up with NX.
IMO!!!

Anything lower than a 75 shot through a direct port system is asking for your jets to get clogged.

Dual Stage is useless and outdated. An NX DP kit will flow far more than your motor can handle so you would be way better off (money wise and ETAwise) just goind 1 stage DP and a progressive controller.
