Have a couple questions

Ok, Im currently building a big ass enclosure in the backseat for my 2 12s. What I wanted to do was, along with the subs, I wanted the enclosure to include 2 slots for some NOS bottles. Im looking at around 60-75 shot. So my questions are:

1. What size bottles are out there? I dont really think a 10lb bottle will fit, so what else?

2. What are the length and diameter of each bottle, as I will need this to make a cutout?

3. What ways can you hook up 2 bottles, Can you split the hp between the 2, or do you have to open 1 bottle, use it, and then open the other bottle?

Thanks,

John

I would recommend having atleast 10 lbs on you. A 10 lb bottle will give you about 120 seconds worth of a strong spray, leaving you with about 2 lbs in the bottle. The last 2 lbs doesn't do a whole lot for you. You could run 2 smaller bottles, but that would be more of a pain to refill and turn on. Plus I don't think you will have as much usable as what would be in a large single bottle. You might try making a fake sub box just for the nitrous, that way it won't impact how your subs sound.

haha, are you going to need the biggest bottles? 2 of them?

1.) Lots of them. check some manufacturer web sites.

2.) See question one.

3.) you're thinking of this TFATF style. Get out of that mindset. the bottle size does not determine the strength of the shot. You can use multiple bottles any way you want, but the proper way to do it would be to open all of them at once so the pressure loss in any bottle was minimized. Multiple bottles increases the time between refills, not the overall HP increase.

oh, and please, its not NOS. its nitrous. I don't have NOS. Unless you're actually getting a kit from Nitrous Oxide Systems. at that point, you'd win.

Haha, sorry, I wont use NOS anymore.

Naw, I was looking to buy a Zex kit. I wanted Venom because it is computerized (im majoring in automotive technology, so im facinated with cars and computers) but its a little over budget right now.

So your saying, I can hookup the 2 bottles to run at the same time, and still get the same hp shot?

Also, what did you mean by TFATF? (I think by now, you realize I know nothing about nitrous

TFATF = The Fast and the Furious.

and yes, you can hook up 2 bottles and get the same shot. The shot size is controlled seperately from the bottles, so the bottle size or quantity has no effect on HP gained, only how long you can spray for. Have you held a 10lb bottle in your hand? Its really not as big as you might think.

I would definately recommend just getting a 10lb bottle. Like vapor said you can run whatever shot you want with whatever size bottle, but its gonna be a huge PIA to constantly refill those small ones. You can fit a 10lb bottle and 2 subs in a 5th gen.
