what rpm do you drop (or slip) the clutch at, my friend when he drives my car can pull off a lot better times cause he sprays in first, just wondering what rpms you guys do it at that spray in 1st gear...looking to try it out just scared of hitting the rev limiter
To get a good launch you should drop at like around 5200rpm. Just dont go WOT before you have gotten some traction. Dont worry about hitting the rev limiter just watch the tach and shift at around 8000.
u shouldnt drop at 5200 rpms unless u want ur car to die. Slip the clutch at around 5000 rpms and it should rise to about 5400, then when u feel traction grabbing, release all the way. nitrous sprays and u should be home free.

read about the "lc_launch" in the FAQ. I don't have mounts either, and getting the wheels to break loose smoothly in first gear comes from super-high (5000+) RPM launches.
I drop it at 3000 or 3500 and I can spin the tires freely and easily without wheelhop....it took some practice....I need to practice my n20 launches though......I know alot of guys that go at 3500 and alot who go at 5000....depends on driving style....
I used the 5k drop method. I tried a couple runs without spraying in first, but the best I could do was 13.9's. Then I just sprayed in first and hit a 13.6. I personally like having the wheels spin a little right off the line.

Do any of you guys have a heavy duty clutch when you are slipping. I am trying to but damn this sucker just grabs.

yeah it definately depends on what kind of clutch you have. i used to be able to launch my car flawlessly with my old stock clutch. i hit some 2.0 60fts. now that i have my ACT HDSS it's a lot different and if i even try to launch around 3500 i get maaaaaaad wheel hop. i've found that around 4200 works pretty good right now...
