Getting started???

Hi fellow luders....i've finally decided to shot NOS and now i need some help. I was wondering if you guys can help me out. My first question is - which system is better, a wet or dry system. Do you guys prefer NOS or NEX. And where can i get a good price on one of these setups?

Thanks for the help...

i have a 93 Vtec running 14.6 with i/h/e/msd digital 6 plus/wires/coilblaster.....i want to be in the 13'z....

OK.....where do I start.....first...read the stickies they will answer this.....second....its not NOS, nos is a brand...its called n-i-t-r-o-u-s.....third read the stickies....fourth, there is no such thing as NEX. Thats a kind of shampoo i think. The main brands of nitrous are ZEX, NX, VENOM and NOS....I prefer NX, but its up to personal preference since all work fine....

I would recommend a wet shot, I think it is a little safer than a dry shot (I haven't seen any data that points either way though, just a personal opinion). As for what kits are good, NX and NOS give good power (NX under rates their shots, don't get caught up with the whole NX makes the best power, all the kits run on the same nitrous). ZEX makes a nice dry kit that is easy to install, but there are a lot of integrated parts. Venom makes nice kits too and have a lot of flexability. They are a little spendy however, and IMO a little "advanced" for the size of shot you can run on a stock motor. Just read through the stickies a few times before you decide on anything, and run a compression test before you spend any money.

I'd run NX just because afterhourz can get such good prices on it. Go wet because you can get a VAFC, Hondata, or a standalone and tune the hell out of. Read the stickies and we'll answer any other specific questions that you have. If you don't understand something in the stickies we will clarify it for you.
