What is the blow-off valve listed in the GEN X Kit from afterhourz for?

It's a blowdown tube. If you don't have your bottle in a compartment, which is sealed from the driver's compartment(ie. if your bottle isn't in the trunk) then you'll need a blowwdown tube. It is just a metal tube that attaches to the safety seal on the bottle and routes itself to the outside of the car. That way if your bottle pressure gets too high and the safety seal breaks, all of your nitrous will end up outside of the car instead of as a white haze in the driver's compartment.

So you dont need one if its in the trunk.....I was wondering cause i dont want trouble when i go to the strip soon......gotta pass inspection to run ya know.....

As long as the trunk is sealed off from the driver's compartment it is fine. My bottle is mounted in the trunk, but I have the back dash and seats ripped out so I needed a blowdown tube.

you shouldn't need one with your back seats in the normal position. I fold my back seat down to see my pressure guage, but when I'm at the track I'm going put it back up before I make a pass.
