First Spray!!!!!

Well I finished up my install today and tested her out. I started from a 5mph roll and punched it and I was like . I peeled out all through 1st and half of 2nd. I'm going to check my plugs tomorrow morning to make sure I'm good. Oh yeah I got to mess around with a viper rt tonight as well. Not a complete race or anything though. BTW I'm running a NX 50 shot.

Also I have a question about the bottle heater. I turn it on and it gets pretty hot, but then shuts off after only a minute or so. Its not enough time to increase the pressure much. Anyone know what might be wrong? My power source for the switch is the cigarette lighter if that matters at all, but the switch stays lit up even after the heater goes cold again.

Good to here it's working well for you.

The bottle heater automatically shuts off at I believe 1100 PSI but don't quote me.

The switch will stay lit and the heater will kick back on if the pressure drops.

I know my dynotune.org bottle heater you have to adjust to 1000 psi, mine was set at 800 psi when I first got it.

sweet. Glad to see you are spraying. The heater is set for 1050psi. You should never touch the heater with your bare hand, it could be very hot (400F). As long as your pressure gauge is in the "Green" you are fine and it is working properly. I had my heater wired directly to the battery through the fuse box under the hood. After you get comfortable with the 50 shot, get yourself some Zex sparkplugs and put the 75 shot in. You will love it.

Well unless my NX gauge is off the heater is shutting off early. It gets me barely into the green and then shuts off. I'd say it prolly goes to 1000psi and stops. Oh well its in the green still..

Oh and I am running the zex plugs right now. I want to buy an ignition first and retard my timing some just to be on the safe side before I up it to a 75 shot.

Chris,

That's pretty much where it shut off for me too. After you spray it will cool way down and pressure will drop. It sounds like it's working OK.

In the summer I don't think they are necessary, but when your bottle starts to get low and the temps outside start to drop they make a big difference. I had a little over 1100 psi on a 104 degree day, good thing I haven't leaned my car out with a vafc or anything

On a hot day the heater would just stay off until needed. After a spray though, that bottle's going to cool down a lot. I still say it's necessary. Plus the heater will keep you at a constant psi and make your runs more consistant.
