A few questions from the new guy???

Hey everyone! I am new to the nitrous scene and I am not planing on doing anything crazy with it, just something to give the H22 a little jump every now and then. With that said, I have found a NX kit that looks very promising and it also comes with a purge kit. Now, I know I need to buy new plugs and a bottle heater but I was curious on a few things.

The kit is a single fogger and I was planning on running a 50 shot. I have an AEM CAI, Apexi Dunk Exhaust, VAFC, and I will have a DC header and Carsound High Flow cat by the time the kit is put on. I am wondering how easy it will be for my dyno shop to tune this and what kind of results can I expect? I also am curious to know what gauges will be important and if there is anything else I will need to make the kit complete. Lastly, I would like to know what I can use to make a somewhat factory looking switch cluster to mount my nitrous controls on below the factory CD player?

This all may sound really confusing because I just cant seem to get my thoughts out the way that I want them to come out, so if I can clarify anything that I said please let me know. Thanks for the help!!!

Justin

No tuning necessarry.....you should pull 220 whp with a 50 shot....someone here ran a 13.7 on a 50 shot....but that isnt the case for everyone.....as it was said, read the newguy stuff

The only gauge that is really necessary for a 50 shot is a nitrous pressure gauge. The install sticky shows how to install it and they mount the switches in the coin holder. This is what I did with mine and it works great. Definately read the stickies though, cause they got a lot of good info.

You can purge with either type of kit. Why would you think otherwise?
I prefer wet kits, but if you are mostly stock then either will do. People have had good luck with NX and Zex. I've had some bad luck with NOS, but others have had good luck. Check out our sponsors for nitrous kits. turboevo should have them.

Hey everyone! Yeah, I bought Daves car. It is simply amazing and I plan to keep it that way. I want to mount the switches under the radio and the CF sounds kind of cool, but I think I might install the Accord Tray and make it a little more stealth. Do you think there will be enough room to mount the Arming Switch, Purge Button, and Bottle Heater in a nice clean package? Any help would be appreaciated. Thanks!!!

another good spot is the coin holder. It is right by your hands and easy to get to, plus it hides them well.

The coinholder is the best place for your switches. If you are leaner out with your VAFC, get to a dyno and tune it for the proper fuel get on your NX wet kit. If you run a dry shot, don't run the VAFC unless you enrich the fuel to stock levels when you spray. As far as purgiing, you can purge even if you don't eally spray.
