Eu4ik: Whats your current status with nitrous?

I havent heard anything new about your car. Are you still running the 85 shot? Hows it holding up?

Fill me in

ha sorry havent been around lately. i changed the fuel pill so im at a .053 nitrous and a .032 fuel. still a little rich but eh id rather be a little rich than lean.

went back to the track with a damn near empty bottle, did a 14.5, a 14.7, then the next one my car just about died as i got into 2nd gear.. no nitrous, lots of fuel. so that sucked. i had my timing retarded some insane amt, i dont know what it was as i just knew that my **** wasnt pinging hah.

i went out racing a while back, probably a month ago and as i got into 2nd gear and got up to 5k i started pingin like an sob. so i stopped racing for a while. got a step colder plugs and tried just throwing the timing a significant amt of retard. im talkin like .5'' from where i had it so id be damn sure i wasnt gonna crap myself. so that worked fine. hadnt had a chance to refill my bottle till saturday night. i had it about .25'' from where i have the timing at usually, and it did fine.. however i only had like 3 gallons of 101 in with 13 gallons of 93. i tried to get some 112 or 114 leaded that night but the damn people were out of gas.

i put my drag radials on the stockies and took it out sat night. i never really got a chance to race with em heated up because there were so many people jus tstanding 5 feet to the right of my car, i didnt want to risk smashing into one of them and they wouldnt freaking move. so anyhow, i lost once to an FD, and hes a low 14. i beat him the first time we raced but i jumped him pretty hard on the launch. raced my friends b16a 4th gen hatch and beat him a bunch. we stopped and i heated the dr's up and we went at it again.. this time i just freakin RIPPED outta the hole. so i was all excited and i went back over to get in line to race again.. did my burnout, car almost dies.. i was up against a 5th gen with nitrous.. im all happy right.. we take off, i hit 2nd gear and my car just feels like ass.. i let off the gas and pull over. ihad my bottle heater on the entire time i had been racing, so i figured id get more than 6 damn runs out of it.

turns out i got screwed out of several pounds of nitrousfrom the place i got it. i closed the bottle and unhooked the line. usually its under a crap load of pressure.. it hardly even let out a 'hissssss'.. meaning i used just about every damn ounce of that n2o i could. usually theres about 3 pounds left in the bottle when i have to refill.

so basically i never got a chance to use my dr's that night. its ok though eh. my car's kinda sounding strange.. but the idle is the same. i checked my spark plugs and changed em. they all look fine. i think my timings off or something i just need to check it. not really worried. ill be out again this weekend with some REAL gas. i hate not being able to run a very high octane +93 mix. bothers the hell outta me.

im going to get some dyno time soon. i bought a few diff fuel pills so i need lke an hour or so on a dyno to work with maybe a .030 fuel and my timing to see how it does. dying to see an air/fuel printout.

i found out im graduating from osu in may, so ive been pretty worried about what the hell im gonna do. i hate graphic design with a passion now. so, ive been looking into becoming a tulsa police officer. they require a bachelors degree. im signing up for the written and physical test, i just am not sure if i want to do them in mid december or early january. if i pass those and i pass the oral interview and the extensive background check ill start training in june.

looks like im gonna go move in to my dads house. his entire upstairs is empty so its MINE. basically its free rent in a pimp ass house. he and his woman are wnating me to get a new car... i dont want to get rid of the prelude at all but i might end up doing it. i was considering an 04 v6 6spd accord coupe, 240 hp.. but theyre like 26-7k.i dont like em THAT much. soooooo, ok dont get mad, but ive been checking out srt4's. theyre fukcing hideous, but they put down the #s on the dyno and put out the #s at the track. oh yeah and theyre freaking 20k. also, they have the staged upgrades that dont void factory warranty. the stage 2 puts em in the low 13s. i might be able to keep the lude since the srt4's so cheap. we'll see though.

wondering what i could get out of the prelude if i sold it as is. W/ nitrous, i/h/e, koni yellows, eibach sportlines, neuspeed strut bar, 17s w tires, 15s w tires and drs, sound system, extra head, extra intake manifold, and whatever the hell else i have. i just dont want to get rid of it.. but if the price is right....

not sure what shot im running with that fuel/n2o pill mix. havent had a chance to jump back on the dyno lately.

here's a pic of ghetto lude with the dr's and stockies. still shocked that the 225s fit. the 205 40 17s barely freakin do. rears are 205 55 supras 712s because theyre cheap and who gives a rats ass about rear tires

its so ugly i actually like it. oh yeah i took the edelbrock sticker off and the okcpreludes.com sticker off as well. i like how its just black and red.

i put some stock tails back on cause it confuses people. no one knew who i was when i went out to race this weekend. stock tails + stock rims=mass confusion. was hilarious. next weekend im putting the regular license plate on. heheh

oh yeah.. and i have to stop street racing soon. i really want to be a cop, so i cant screw it up. i SHOULD stop now.. but i need 1 good weekend first next time, im heating the damn dr's up. if idiots want to stand right next to me when i do it, thats theyre damn fault.

btw, i recommend these dr's to everyone. bfg g-force t/a's

Its crazy when people are afriad of a measly 50 shot!
I am right with you, starting with an 80 shot and moving up from there!

update- since saturday night when i ran outta juice my car has been idling kind of strange. first of all, when i unhooked the line from the bottle there was hardly any pressure, meaning i used damn near every last drop. [which also means i got shorted several pounds. dont trust anyone ]

ok so when i ran out at the bottom of 2nd gear, i was still at wot.. i must have dumped an ASSLOAD of fuel down the 2.3's throat because it just went limp on me. i was pretty pissed because i hadnt raced much and i had my bottle warmer on the entire time, so i should have gotten more than my normal 8 or so runs out of it. i turned the car off for a while. started it back up.. and its makin a weired noise in the exhaust.. just sounds like its getting drowned right.. so i figure ill just fill it up and check the gas mileage in a couple days.

well im at almost half a tank and ive gone 110 miles. heehhe.. can we say bad o2 sensor? im not throwin any codes, but im sure the o2's fixin to take a dump on itself. i was pretty sure this was the problem as SOON as it happened, so i guess ill find out in a week or so when i get the new one hehe.

just goes to show you that you cant trust anyone when it comes to getting your bottle filled. i had a completely empty bottle, very very cold at that.. and they still screwed me over.. im friends with the people and they did that. i wont be going back.

^

I usually weigh my bottle after I get it filled to make sure I didn't get screwed. Fortuanately I will have the luxury of filling my own bottle now since my dad got a fill station

can we say cheap/free nitrous :giggle:
