Colder plugs DO make a diff NA.

Well today I pulled my plugs and replaced them w/ NGK vpower 2 step colder plugs. I had NGK Iridiums in, that were pretty fouled up.

General response seems slower, also, revving seems slightly slower as well...

also, this is not just a 'butt' dyno, my car wasn't running nearly as hot, it also wasn't able to match my speed-set timers around time (ex: speed from sign to sign)

I feel they deff made a large diff. It was smooth, but just a general loss of power.

I put this in here... as only FI and Nitrous cars really care about colder plugs...and boosted guys don't care, because, well they can't turn theres back to NA anytime they want

Just my input, sorry.... next time i'm on a dyno, i'll get some number differences...

I ran one step colder, n/a, and posted a slightly better time. 2 steps isn't necessary.

For NGK's, this would be the 7series, versus the 6 series. Anything colder than the 7 series will not be hot enough, and will foul out fairly quickly, n/a.

ouch, why 2 steps? 1's enough for me.

Is it noticable? yeah, slightly. but not enough for me to really care.

just my two cents.. but if your original plugs were already fouled up.. why would you go even colder?

colder plugs tend to foul more because they are reducing the combustion chamber temperature and making the combustion less complete
