checking plugs

ok i know your supposed to check your plugs after each run, but what am i looking for? and if a plug is messed up what should i do? have replacements with me and change it?

Look for little white specks that indicate detonation and look for a gas smell on a black plug, meaning that it is overly rich.

If you see any signs of detonation your spark plugs are too hot, you are too lean or you have too much timing.

First: Put in new plugs
Second: Go get tuned with a wideband O2
Third: Check your plugs again after spraying on the dyno

repeat as necessary.
