I hope to be picking my car up from the shop in the next couple of days, and this will be my 1st time spraying so I want to make sure all this money I spent is well served.
Retard msd 2-2.5*
Leave VAFC2 at stock settings until I tune it
2 step colder plugs are in
Bottle pressure 900-1100?
Purge before every spray
What should my EGT read?
Where should I adjust my FPR to?
Is my A/F gauge going to do anything but look cool?
Well, the thing is.....I won't be able to dyno it for a little bit. I just don't want to screw anything up.
Maybe hold off on the spray until I can???
JEDI Master KRIS, what would you do?
I am going to start with an 80 shot wet. Once I get her on the Dyno, I may go with the 100 shot! I have nothing to lose with 113k miles on the car. My head is ready for it, but my bottom-end is the weak link. Everything has been redone on my car except that. Recent HG, TB, WP, and did some headwork while we had it off. It handled the rev-limiter all day at the roadcourse, so I am pretty confident that she'll be OK with Uncle Giggles.
FPR setting? B&M with gauge right next to it.
Ideal EGT temp?
Is 2* going to be good enough Kris? Will this hurt my N/A performance?
Knocking two degrees off of your ignition timing will noticeably hurt your NA performance. I'd wait until I could get it on a dyno, just to make sure that everything is fine. Fuel pressure should be ok at 40.
Well, if the -2* acts like a broken knock sensor, it shouldn't be too bad. I have dealt with that already. It was a nice flat spot from 3-4000. Once over 4000, I couldn't tell the difference at all.
Kris, did you set your timing at 0* when you ran your N/A 15.0 at Steele? Just curious.
I am shaking with excitement as I think about picking my car up this time tomorrow! I am not even afraid of my "BILL" with One6.
My car is the only thing I spend crazy money on.
Having the timing knocked back is more like the car doesn't want to get going. Driving around town really sucked. My timing was at 0 when I hit the 15.0.
