Its way more likely to be your alternator than your battery.....that yellow top is super tough and leaving you n20 on would still take a week to drain that battery....I have all the nitrous stuff and that yellow top and i have no problems.....but in all fairness I have a breaker switch that i hit whenever i turn the car off to keep it from draining (I had a little drainage problem with the stock battery, cause I often dont get to drive the car for a month
Nitrous noids will fry after less than a minute of continuous use, so no your kit isn't draining power from your battery. If your noid were pulling power from the battery you would have a several small electrical fires under your hood.

I mean that if you leave the solenoids open/on that the wiring will get so hot that the insulation will start on fire and smoke will come in through the air vents in your car. Trust me, you'll notice if it ever happens.

I have seen many new alternators be bad, it isn't unheard of to get a faulty alternator. You might get your current alternator tested to make sure it is putting out the proper amount of power.
As for the fires, he is probably talking about a short. I wouldn't rule a short out if your alternator tests out fine and yet your battery still dies. I mean, if the battery keeps dying there is a parasitic drag on it somewhere, and a short is usually the culprit.

No I am talking about fire, like the kind that you get from a lighter. We're talking smoke, flames, the whole nine yards here.
Edit: now the fire may have been caused by an electrical short, but the coil would have had to been hot enough to melt off the insulation before it could short out.
