Best way to race with n2o...

Ok after my last two races with a Sentra SER Spec V (or V spec, I can never remember the order) and the RSX type S I have come to the conclusion that spraying from a stop is a really big waste of time, nitrous and rubber. I sit there spinning, then hoping for so long before my car finally gets moving. Once I get traction I start hauling ass, but I lose so much in the start that I am basically playing catchup the entire time.

I know I can beat these cars by much more, but the start is just too difficult without traction. One of the problems is that with zex there is no micro switch, so if I am at a stop and I dont want to spray when I am at WOT I have to wait and turn the switch on once I am already moving... id rather not take my eyes off the road/track to click the switch.

Obviously I think that racing from a roll is probably the best way for me to get the greatest use out of my kit, but when i have to start from a stop, whats the best way to do it?

These starts are killing me.

Take off at mid throttle, get traction, stomp it half through vtec in first then hit second......it takes practice, but if you can get hooked up initially you wont lose as much traction once you hit second.

I do what NX said and I was hitting mid 2.2 60's on khumo 712s. It's nothing to brag about I only tried it for one day.

sounds good, ill give it some practice.

1. take off at half throttle
2. get traction
3. arm nitrous and go WOT

You need some good tires to be able to do that though. I did that several times and even after I had traction in 1st when I sprayed it would break them loose again and I would just spin. I dont know where your switches are mounted, but I would just arm it once in 2nd. Racing from a roll is a lot easier, plus it isnt as hard on the clutch.

arm the nitrous in the staging lane. #3 is simply to go WOT.
