Activation without micro switch?

I know the ZEX kit doesnt use a miscro switch to recognize WOT, my questions is can you setup a NOS kit without the miscro switch? I was thinking that the ZEX kit tapped into wire, but I may be wrong.

I had a guy build me a TPS switch. It works flawlessly.

How did he do it?

Its jsut a voltage regualted switch, find the voltage of the tps with a multimeter, go to radioshack and get the proper switch and hook it up.....
that would be my guess.....

Nope, it uses an opamp to compare the TPS voltage with a refrence voltage set with a pot.

Lemme ask him if it is cool to post the schematic up here.

Also if you could, ask him what the failure situation is. i.e. should something go wrong, is there a change it shorts to a constant "activated" status?

it is basically a switch that you mount on the throttle body. When you go WOT the rotor on the throttle body swings down and actives the switch mechanically.

I had it fail once, and its failure mode is to give a CEL for High TPS reading, and to NOT activate the nitrous.
