50 shot Nx set up

Hey I'm trying to get my nitrous list down any help is welcomed.
Here is everything that i plan to get:

1. Nx wet kit (I only intend to have a 50 shot)

2. 1 step cooler plugs ( I read about the NGK copper plugs and am currently shopping for those)

3. GenX-2 up-grade kit
Do they make specific GenX-2 kits for specific nitrous kits? for example, a gen 2 kit for a ford NX kit and a different gen 2 kit for an import. or is there just one Genx-2 kit for all the NX kits. tell me if that makes sence

4. Nitrous pressure guage(comes in gen 2 kit), EGT guage, and fuel pressure guage. I think thats all i need.

My current set up is I/H/e/p/vafcII
and all this is on a 01 SS

Is there anything else that i need or left out? Any comments?

Thanks
Jesse

It's pretty dead.

if you're looking for a pillar mounted gauge, the one that comes with the upgrade kit won't work, it's a bottle mount.

then nope, that's all you need, and it will be a pretty complete setup. it's what I've got, and the only thing I could really see myself getting above that is a remote bottle opener.

Thanks for the posts!

I have another question though. I have an SS and I read the other Threads but i never got a clear answer to the spraying question. So, Can you just spray all the way through? Meanning that your car can shift while your nitrous is armed. Or do you have to arm and diarm...

Thank Jesse

don't take my word on this but if you want those clutch packs in your transmission to last get off the go pedal at every shift, becuase if you stay in it your going to nuke your tranny very quickly. My boy ran a 100 shot in his auto 240 for 2 years at the track and street races and never had a problem with it, but this was how he did it.

Once you are armed at about halfway through 1st (if your tires can take it), you can keep your foot down even through shifts. Just be sure you upshift just before redline. That SS thinks sooo slow that sometimes I find myself letting off the gas when I think it might end up pegging fuel cut-off before the damn thing finishes the shift. And yes I'll admit I've hit fuel cut-off in 1st on two occasions while spraying and then proceded to **** my pants. Compression checks out fine and I started shifting out of 1st earlier even though I sometimes fall out of vtec in 2nd. I'd rather miss vtec then f*ck up my engine and after 10+ bottles at a 50 shot all is good.

Thanks for the posts.

FoShizzleLude00 wow you ran a 14.5

Impresive. I hope to see those kind of numbers when i spray.
Is that your entire set up?

LOL yeah that's my "stealth" setup in my sig, not a 14.4 but a 14.59 see my old post. I also use a bottle heater to keep the pressure at 1000 psi. I actually ran that 14.59 with those two subs still in back. I've been to the track a half dozen times since then and usually pull 14.6-14.7s with the same 50 dry shot. I had a great run that first time because it was a balls freezing night. I'm trying a 60 shot on the same setup in a couple months and will post the results.

Jesse, with your planned setup of the wet NX 50 and your mods I'm sure you'd run a bit better. It's great to see another SS luder entering the fray, i thought axion and I were the only ones for awhile there.

Thanks FoShizzle.
I would be up and running already but I'm still waiting on my NX kit. I gave my money (cash) to a local shop almost 1 month ago and the owner still hasn't produced the NX kit that he said that he ordered. Everytime I go to the shop he has a different excuse to tell me And on top of things I can't ask for my money back. They only give store credit.
