1 Month after nitrous...

I've sold the nitrous.

Sold the entire kit for 400 to my cuz. Will it was fun while it lasted.

Made one run with the nitrous and got a 14.89 in the quarter.

Now for my new project... transmission swap

Thanks for all the help.

Jesse

Turbo is in the future but I'm taking my time.. right now i'm concentrating on not getting ripped off by the guy that is selling me the swap kit.
and yes nitrous is great. I actually kept up with an ls1 from a 65 to 100 mph roll.
I didn't beat him and he was pulling away slowly, but we both thought it would be a slaugter.

hows the car running? Did the nitrous seem to have any sort of negative effect on the car?

Car is running great! no negitive effects at all...
I went through 4 bottles (mostly purging though) and I checked the pluges after every run.
Someone told me that every time that i spray that it puts 5000 miles on my engine though...
don't know if that's true.

you were spraying and only pulled a 14.8? i was hitting 15 flat with my 00 base 5 spd with just an AEM v2, pulleys, and ebay muffler. (and aftermarket struts/springs)

EDIT: excuse the brain fart...i guess it's just now sinking in that you have the sport **** tranny.

2nd EDIT: lol...i see that hwani.h22a had the same problem i did in realizing your tranny woes.

Haha maybe 5 miles if used right..if that. Nitrous used correctly is pretty safe. I ran a couple of bottles and never had a problem

BTW You have the aem v2 intake correct??

Just wondering since it's a short ram in the pic.
I'm looking for a new intake now since the one i have now has a hole...

in his sig pic, that's the v2 intake. it's basically a short ram with that bigger pipe on the outside of the normal short ram pipe, then a bigger filter....supposed to be mad tyte for power according to AEM. when i installed mine, there was a definite increase in power after VTEC. can't beat the sound, too.

Nitrous is safe just dont hit fuel cut(blow ringlands) nor spary under 3000 rpms(breaks rods) And by the way if your sparying a h22 youll be running a 13.8 to 14.2 in the quarter
