would an exhaust leak affect my boost?

So, while driving, I lost one of the downpipe nuts where it joins the manifold. apparently a chunk of the gasket was blown away as well..

My wideband readings are definitely outta whack now but I'm curious if the boost would be off as well because of the difference in backpressure.

Yes, it could. Definitely so with a turbo, but for your JRSC I'm not sure.

it will probably throw off your boost gauge, depending on where your reading boost from. As most people read it at the IM, so less back pressure building up in the head will result in a lower boost reading. You should however have the same amount of boost and horsepower.

eh, we'll see gasket sheet should get in tomorrow. I'll probably have it cut and where it belongs by this w/end. we'll see how the boost reading looks once fixed
