What turbo should I get?

so im planning a turbo build, and im planning a 8:0:1 cr (brand new block) running as much psi as i can, so what type of turbo should i get? I don't really want to buy a kit i plan on buying each part separate because i see that there is normally a weak link in each kit. Money is not really an issue.

so what do you guys recommend?

ye. 15k for your lude and 15k for mine?! how does that sound?

But i dont think you will spend over 10k unless you upgrade every little thing like oil pan, axels, etc

Well I am looking to buy a new short block and from what I'm seeing that's going to cost about 4-5k

That's another thing that I was wondering, is 8:0:1 too low? I can get the block with any compression. The car will mainly be for the summer along with shows and some days on the track, it won't be a daily driver, that's what my bike is for

It seems kinda low. Id say atleast 8.5:1. Im using 9:1 in my build. If your boosting alot anywhere between 8 and 9 should be good though

I wouldn't go lower than 8.5. Also, if you're looking for some mad power, the GT35r would get you there but if you want even more, the GT42r is the ticket.

Yeah I'll probably do 8:5:1, how far along are you in your build or are you just finishing up the planning like I am, either way your color scheme looks cool and you should post some pics

I should be done with it by the summer, well that's my goal atleast,

first off dont go 8.0, go 9.0 at the absolute lowest. Second, dont run a GT35R. It isnt designed for our cars. You want to get a GT30/40R which will give you near the same output/power as a GT35R but it will spool quicker as it can be used with lower output engines.
