used intercooler: repair???

This is the backside of the intercooler (front is fine). Unfortunately, the previous owner(s) did not take very good care of it. It actually did look worse, I've been bending the fins back into place, and I think I've done a decent job of it so far. Should I try to have this repaired? I'm not convinced it's necessary, but I thought I'd get opinions.

No, it doesn't have any damage that would cause it to leak. I think that the fins can be replaced by a shop, that's what I mean by repair. I just don't know if it would be worth the cost, or if it would even be necessary.

If you took and straightened out as many as possible would be good enough. I dont even think right now they way it is pictured that you could measure a difference in performance of those few bent fins. I would not pay to have the fins redone.

Doesn't look that bad.
When I had the FMIC, I put in a grill to cover the front of it to prevent larger stones.
You should look into that as well. Plus if you paint the grill black, it helps to hide the FMIC, less noticable by cops.
Fins can be straighen out using a flat head scrrew driver and lots of patience.
