Im thinking of swaping a type s motor and adding a jackson racing SC. Will it give me more hp than supercharging a usdm h22a? If anyone did this let me know how did it work out.
i'd personally swap a SH motor (assuming you have an SH for the type-S) and supercharge then spend the rest of the money saved from the type-s towards beefing up other parts

Higher compression + forced induction = not good. You won't see any gain by using a Type-S motor. In fact, it may be harder to tune because of the high compression.
Keep the stock engine. Supercharge that, change it to 9.5:1 or 9.0:1 compression with a built engine. In the long run it may be overkill for a JRSC but that's setup is better for any FI system.
At the very least, you don't need an expensive Japanese engine swap that is only slightly different from what you already have.
That does make sense. I have the sh which brings the atts. I probably going to dump the sh a block and get me a base block. I heard that it's harder to tune a sh block and over 250 whp the atts doesn't work anyways. Now how much of boost can I run with the SC. I heard 9psi. Does anybody think they make a 12psi pulley or even higher. It will be nice to get 300whp from SC.
You mean 94 ocatane, right? Actually, the highest I usually see is 93 and in some rural or beach counties only 92.
The highest boost I've heard of on a JRSC is a 12 psi pulley. There might have been someone experimenting with a custom 15 psi setup but I am not sure. The problem with running higher boost on a JRSC seems to be that because there is no way to intercool or aftercool the intake charge (other than water/alcohol injection) it tends to get really hot and loses efficiency after a point.
^^ yup... 94. most sell 93, but there are a few out there at 94. Hell, in daytona you can buy 110+ race gas at teh gas stations. it's about $10/gal, but still...
Either way the MOST he'd want to boost with an 11:1 comp would be the 6 lb pulley; 9 might be pushing it, and 12 would probably frag anything less than a fully built and decked motor.
Its been done before. Someone did it years ago. It'll work and I think you will see more power, but its much trickier to tune because of the higher compression and will probably last longer in terms of durability.
But I agree. Just build a motor with some forged parts and do it that way. Unless you need an all-new motor.

Building the engine is the best option, but for the money it will cost to do that and get a JRSC installed and tuned it makes more sense to consider an intercooled turbocharger.
It depends on whether or not it's worth it to you, but a built H22 will fare better than a stock engine with any FI upgrade. At least it will last far longer depending on how you drive it.
