I'm not so sure turboing a Type-S is what you want to do. Type-s motors are going to be harder to tune (11:1 cr), and as a result, may have you running less boost than a run of the mill H22a. I don't know anyone that's turboed a type-s before. The power would probably be great if you had superb engine management, but I would think getting there is going to be costly.
(Found an old thread that might help.. max psi for 10:1 compression???

Anyway, to answer your question, a kit is going to consist of tubing, exhaust manifold, turbo, wastegate, bov (maybe), couplings, and a few other odds and ends. There is nothing on the outside of the motor that makes a type-s any different from other h22a's, except the intake (which you won't be using anymore), so anything should fit on there just fine.

you would prolly get better results (and more tech support for that matter) if you did a manual tranny conversion and turboed that.

You realize that the Type S has ATTS, right?

yes i'm aware of all the above, i just have never seen a type s turbo'd and i'm all about innovation lol

well i was considering the tranny swap and i still am the auto does suck and u don't have many engine managment options. but the price for a tranny is like 2k and tranny and engine for type is is like 2800. so i just figured might as well u know.

Might as well have 30 pounds of dead weight of non-functional ATTS equipment that gets in the way of getting to your oil filter and makes it difficult to clear downpipes and tap good oil supply sources for your turbo? Not to mention the 11:1 compression, that will take very careful tuning to make sure you don't blow it up.

Just remember those JDM yo! sites sell the "S Spec" w/lsd under the name Type S also. So that would basically be a base model with type s performance, no atts, and an LSD

So then it's not 11:1 compression, it's 10.6:1, right?

^nope the "S Spec" is identical to the Type S: ported, better intake manifold, 11:1, etc. The only difference is the trannies.

Oh yah, you're right. I would imagine an S spec engine/tranny would be very expensive.

^ I have no clue as the sites never list them seperated . I would love to have one in a simple yet elegant prelude setup though. (internal pc, that new guage pod cluster, maybe jdm climate control and nav computer, leather interior... ahhh)

If I had the money I'd by a complete type-s and swap everything over to the usdm chassis.

(or put the vin plates on the jdm and say I converted it! )
