well, i'm not some engine guru or anything....but i have done a LITTLE research on parts, i havent really even heard of em....either because i did crap research and they're actually amazing....or becuz people just love to use eagle rods. Couple things though, y not just use something that a LOT of people have used and can back up? And even if they're stronger (and more expensive as u said) are you really going to boost any more than the majority of peeps here? This is just my thought.....makes sense right?
manley and pauter are very comparable in quality. i use manleys (i'm not sure what the turbo tuff thing is??) I'd recommend either one. If you don't plan on ever making over 500+ whp then the eagles will suit you just fine. they'd probably work just fine even after that, but i wouldn't recommend doing it. I'd go ahead and make the investment now and get some manley or pauter rods if you have the cha-ching to do it. you won't regret it.
oh, by the way, you can see in the bottom left of my sig where i tore my last motor up. the banged up rod is an eagle h-beam, and the other rods are the manley i-beams. they both use ARP 2000 bolts, but the manleys i've got now have the newer, bigger ARP bolts.
by the way, the smaller bolts that were on the eagles broke, which caused the rod to punch that hole in my block. i'm not sure if they were torqued incorrectly, or if they stretched from overheating or what....but i know that i like manley better than eagle, and the extra quality on the manleys is quite obvious.

I think the larger eagle bolt versions are way better than the older smaller ones. I have heard of a lot of failures in the small-bolt versions, so I am sorry that you were one of them. BTW, I hope your new build goes well. I am interested in seeing your dyno results.
