turbo 4g question.

Im sure I should have probably searched but I have alot of questions.. sorry for not searching..

I have a jdm h22a and wanting to toss on a blowdryer my questions are

can the h22a be ok on just 4-5 psi Daily?
what kit would you reccomend?
any precuations I need to take?
is this just stupid and a waste of money? or a good start?

and I know I should build the motor.. but being a college student, I just can't afford that.. I would be getting the turbo kit as a late graduation present so this is why Im asking..

For a low boost level like that you'd probably want it to spool up early so it's a fun everyday driver. That's what I'd want... If this is also what you want, I would go with a gredy kit. Many people might say build your own kit, but if your getting it for a present, the person buying it would probably want to just buy a kit and not 20 different pieces...

Then in the future with your own time and money you could upgrade the turbo, go standalone w/bigger injecters, build the block... whatever you want.

Also, everyone will probably recomend a J&S knocksensor especially on a JDM motor.

think about it.... it senses knock.
Kinda like a water temp sensor, senses water temps. Or a Throttle position sensor, senses throttle position.

Knock sensor, to my knowledge, detects detonation in your cylinders, which is bad.

You really should search though. Theres a WEALTH of information.
