trouble shifting into 2nd???

any of u out there have trouble shifting into 2nd gear sometimes? today i wanted to punch my car for the hell of it. red light got good launch. took to 7000 rpm, switched gears but it wouldnt go into 2nd. i just revved my engine into 8000 rpm for a while. scared da crap outa me. at least this time i didnt grind my gears.

I seem to be having the same prob. During normal shifts it works perfect.........But when quick shifting at 7000+ rpms it has some sort of resistance getting in 2nd.

This subject has been covered a lot on this board already. This is due to a synchro problem with the 5th gen ludes. It seems to affect every gear.

Do a search on "synchro" and you will see the threads.

omfg i raced a type r and my fucn gears grinded in 3rd. either i cant drive or something is wrong.

yea i got the same problem into second. ive got a 4th gen. pretty much takes a tranny rebuild i heard to fix it. thats some cash.jim

all you can do is a tranny rebuild? what about if i take my car to the dealership anything they can do since its still under warranty?
