Tial Wastegate

Ok ... just got my full new set up completed. Wow ... Tial wastegates make a LOUD a$$ sound. What I want to know is ...

For those of you that have them:
1) do you have it open blow off, a pipe or do you have it recycled back into the DP?
2) If recycled back into the DP how much HP did you lose?
3) Did the sound completely go away?

For everyone:
1) do you like the sound? If so, what sound do you like the best? open, piped or recycled?
2) do you think its too loud ... like, will I get pulled over quickly whenever I go WOT?

Just looking for some other views before I make a decision. I'm really concerned about it being too loud for the street.
Thanks

From what I have read, if the dump pipe cycles back to the exhaust a significant distance from the wastegate, you won't see a performance drop.

1) do you have it open blow off, a pipe or do you have it recycled back into the DP?

my tial waste gate is open...

2) If recycled back into the DP how much HP did you lose?
if you do loose ur looseing low end tq i've heard w/the waste tap back on the dp u gain a lil tq.. but w/it open it sounds SO MEAN..

3) Did the sound completely go away?
i can only hear mine when its @ 70+% throttle or WOT

1) do you like the sound? YES
what sound do you like the best? OPEN

2) do you think its too loud ... like, will I get pulled over quickly whenever I go WOT? some times when ur not in the LOUD mood... it gets annonying...so it doesnt bother me that much....

what manifold are u using??? i personally thinks w/it open is easier to deal with since there's NO room in a 5th gen to play around.... n for some reason u need a dp re-made u dont have to worrie about hackin the old pipe n makin things fit nicely....

If it lead back to the exhaust make sure its a little back from the O2 sensor and also make sure that when it merge with the exhaust is like a V that way you don't lose anything. I have mine go to a pipe and leave it there. Can't tell the difference or hear anything different about it, all i can hear is my BOV

Dragzen: so is yours a pipe to the atmosphere or back into the DP?

Garn: I know yours isnt a Tial but do you have any videos or sound clips of yours anyway? I want to hear what it sounds like through a long dump tube.
Anyone have a Tial clip through a dump tube??

Mine right now is straight off the wastegate into the engine bay and its REALLY, REALLY loud

2) If recycled back into the DP how much HP did you lose? when I had it set up that way I lost about 30hp
3) Did the sound completely go away? yes

2) do you think its too loud ... like, will I get pulled over quickly whenever I go WOT? mine is crazy loud, it's a chance you have to take.

What I want is to hear my turbo spool more. If I run a dump tube would that make the sound go down? How about a loss in HP through a dump tube? I dont mind the sound I just think its too loud.

maybe you can fab some kind of resonator over it... something like an old catch can or something; if you can muffle it somehow, it might not be as bad...

I want the same thing, i rode in an evo (stock turbo, stock actuator) the other day and all i heard was the turbo spooling and i loved it, much better than the "major exhaust leak" sound in my opinion. Is there some sort of baby muffler that we could weld on the dump tube?
