For those of you with the MF2...Please help

Hey Guys,
Well I decided to put the MF2 on until I can get time to get my hondata tuned. Just for precaution Anyways it says to hook the yellow wire to the coil negative, and it also says that a good place for a the key on 12V signal is the coil positive. So I was gonna do that, but then I read farther and it said: Do not use coil positive if you have an aftermarket ignition. Well I have the MSD digital 6, and Blaster ss coil. So I was wonderin where you guys hooked up your key on 12V power wire? Also the yellow one still wants to go to the coil negative right?
Thanks,
Josh

yellow connects to the green wire that use to go on the stock coil....since u have a msd, the green wire is now hooked up to one of the input wires on the msd, i forget which one....for 12V switch, i used one of the igniton wires from the turbo timer....i think it is IGN1 wire (Yel/Blk)

Hey,
Thanks. So I still hook it up to the coil negative? Can I just put it on the coil negative post?
Thanks,
Josh

Coil negative just means any ignition wire. It's much easier to just use the blue ignition test wire that on the front of the passenger side shock tower.

Hey,
Alright thanks
Is there anyway to see if the MF2 is working, besides hitting boost?
Thanks,
Josh

Hey,
So I would be fine connecting the 12V power wire to the blk/ylw wire the is in the clip 2pin clip that connects to the distributor? I believe that is linked to ign1 (I am lookin thru the helms). Then I will connect the yellow to the coil negative, or the blue test wire. It just wants the negative coil wire for a tach signal right/?
Thanks,
Josh

You're right, all it wants the is a tach signal so that it can map fuel based on rpm.

Do yourself a favour. It might be more work now, but get a serial cable extension and run the MF2 controller into your cabin and take off the top of the controller. All of the tuning potentiometers are exposed and you can see all of the status lights. It helps tremendously and the MF2 should really be properly tuned before you use the car hard.

Hey DirtyLude,
Thanks SOOO much! I am gonna do that, I actually have a serial extender with me right now As I said earlier, I am just runnin this until my new injectors come in, and my tuner can tune my hondata. I would rather be safe than sorry, and I will prolly only use it for a week or 2. I also plan to use all my will power and not hit to much boost
Thanks for the help!
Josh
