switching to external coil

i've searched and to me this seems kind of complicated.

I have a USDM H22 in my car, with a EUDM (probably very close to JDM) harness and EUDM distributor. right now the car runs fine. i need to switch to an external coil to use a jacob's ice pak system, and i'm not sure how to go about it or what parts to use. I've read certain things on modification, and certain threads saying to buy the USDM distrib+external coil. can someone help out please?

Getting the USDM dizzy is probably the only way to do it since no aftermarket company(as far as I know) makes a cap to run an external coil. MSD I think makes a kit for the accord but I've only seen the internal coil H22 distributor once and we just threw it away.

It's pretty straight forward, as this is what I did with my JDM distributor in order to run an external coil with the MSD SCI+ ignition. First off, I bought an MSD Pro Cap (dizzy cap) which obviously has the extra HT lead socket for the external coil. The MSD part number I think is PN 8292. Just check it here -

To wire the external coil into the dizzy, take a look at the instructions on page 10 here -

If you want pictures of the wiring inside the dizzy, let me know and I'll PM them to your or whatever.

Because I'm a dumbass, I only just noticed that you have a 5th gen, and mine is a 4th gen. The principles should be the same, but I'm not sure if we use the same distributor, so your cap may be different.
