Still having problems with my JRSC!!!

Hey boys, I need help, I finally got my new EMS unit in from Jackson Racing, and we hooked it up just the same way as in the instructions...and we are having the same problems as the old EMS unit...the problem as I said in a previous post, is that that on WOT the car goes dead lean and cuts out...so I was wondering if you guys did anything different than the wiring in the instructions...my problem forsure has something to do with the way that we are wiring the EMS unit, because we unhooked the unit and ran the car with the supercharger all hooked up except for the EMS unit, and the supercharger/car ran fine, well except for the fact the it ran abit lean thus causing the engine to have a slight knock...we had it hooked up to a volt meter and it was running 0.9 volts///

so please give me any hints/suggestions I NEED YOUR HELP!!!

We even unhooked the V-AFC and ran just the EMS unit to the ECU, same problem...

Actually, 0.9 is rich from a standard o2 sensor. When you run the car with the jackson device, does it go lean at one point or from boost onset? When you run the car without the jackson device, is it lean all the way, at certain points. Is it possible that the FMU is on backwards? Do you have a fuel pump, is it running while the car is on? Electrical problems are kinda troublesome if the car isn't right in front of me. Also, go over all the wires, some stripes are very hard to see if you don't give the wires a twist while looking for them.....

what wires are used in installing the ems? maybe we can help you double check that you connected it to the right ecu wires. list all that..

JUST AN EXAMPLE
ems wire #1 goes to RPM WIRE which is black/blue on the ecu...

Ummmm, is there an FMU (auxiliary fuel pressure regulator, fuel management device)? I thought all JRSCs come with an FMU. If you don't have one on, that may be a problem. I agree with pure lude in that maybe we can help you tell the wires apart. I am not sure, but I think the JRSC comes with an FMU.......

the JRSC does come with a upgraded fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator...

would the Canadian and US models have different wiring???

the wiring is the same for canadian models.

locate your fuel pressure regulator right behind the valve cover on the driver side. follow the lines and see where they go. it should end up at the fmu (its matte silver color) is that thing hooked up correctly? i'm sur eit is otherwise you'd have blown up already.

did u call jr yet?

Yep we called Jackson Racing, the first time they said that we probably didn't have a good ground, so we grounded it to the battery and you can't get any better ground than that...so then they sent us that new EMS unit, but after it was still the same problem...so we are waiting until Monday when they open to see what to do now!!!

I think, if your JRSC regulator is connected properly, you should check your wiring for the 100th time. It does get tiresome, but it is better than buying a new motor. I don't think there is....but maybe there is a difference in a wire or two between the Canadian model and the US. If you have a volt meter, you should test each wire the EMS connects to to see if you're getting the correct signals that applies to the sensor. A wire may be colored differently between the US and Can, the emissions systems are a bit different, I think.....

could be. you might wnat to double check your helms manual.

but i don't think it is because the ecm thingie probably taps into many wires that are similar to the afc and j&s. I got my instructions to install the j&S from dirtylude who is from toronto.

i dunno man. atleast you didn't have to become familiar w/ home depot and orchard supply because of your turbo setup..hehe
