SSAutoChrome Intercooler Pipes w/ better intercooler???

Hey guys I just got a 97 prelude off my friend and it has a sleeved block with 9.0/1 pistons. It was turbo but he took the kit off a couple months ago. I just bought a spoolin performance log manifold w/ dumptube and down pipe. I also bought a borgwarner GM8 Turbo (t3/t04e) .63 hotside.

I'm now looking to get an intercooler and pipes. I was thinking of getting the ssautochrome pipes that come with all the clamps and couplers... It's $125 shipped. And then I would get a better intercooler like: Spearco or Precision or the like.

Let me know if you have run the SSAutoChrome pipes before and what you think about them.

If this is a stupid idea please let me know but I just got rid of my STI and I had a TurboXS FMIC and a lot of guys were running the SSAutoChrome FMIC and they looked all but the same. A lot of people said they were great for the money.

Thanks in advance!

Stay away from their stuff that involves any moving parts. Intercooler should be a safe buy. Don't be surprised if the pipes need some massaging to fit and pressure test the IC before the install.

I'm running their IC piping, and it all bolted up nicely and is holding up good! I'm pleased for the price it was.

Yeah that's what I thought... Thanks for the info though... I think it's much better than paying somewhere around $450 for custom... At least for right now... I may upgrade eventually.

Any body have anything negative to say about them?

I didn't end up getting it so I'm not sure... I would think that it's not going to come with one, you'll have to bring it to your local shop and have them weld whatever you want on... I could be wrong though.

Well I sent them an email asking which BOV flange comes on it, then they responded with "which kit?" and I havent heard back after that. If it didnt have a flange at all then I think they would have told me. From the pics it looks like either an HKS flange or a Vband but I'm not sure...

ok never mind lol, I think it's just an extension pipe that you weld whatever flange you want onto. I'm going to get it anyways so I'll let you know
