I turned the key to start the car. It tried to start and imediately died. I thought, "that's wierd". So I tried to start it again. The motor just spun, and it sounded like it wasn't even trying to start. I thought, "that's wierd". I checked my fuel pump fuse. It was fine. I popped the hood, pulled the coil wire from the distributor, and checked for spark. Plenty of spark. I thought, "that's wierd". I put the coil wire back on, and tried to start it again. No go. It almost sounded like it was trying to fire, but wouldn't. I thought, "that's wierd". So I gave it some throttle while trying to start it, something I was not comfortable with doing. It fired up and died. I thought, "that's wierd". So I tried it again, and kept my foot in it even after it fired up. TONS OF CRAP CAME OUT OF THE EXHAUST. It was obviously flooded. After the crap cleared, I let off the throttle. It idled fine. I shut it down and tried to start it again, and it fired normally. I did this several times, without issue. I went out, ran some errands, no problems anywhere I went. The car ran fine, idled fine, vacuum readings were fine, and it boosted fine.
I think you're fine man... You did the RIGHT setup, by not using JR's stuff.. I'm sure you can please the boost gods by treating your lude to some race gas :-P
Not a single problem, fortunately. I think whatever happened was a momentary fluke, perhaps related to running my 8 heat range plugs in this cold weather. She's starting perfectly fine now.
Mine does that all of the time. I would say about 80% of the time in fact. I notice that if you wait several seconds (5-10) it dosen;t seem to do as bad. I changed my plugs and it seems to help but when it was warmer a few days ago it was still doing it. I hasen't done it in the past 24 hours though. Weard. Im hopeing tuning helps.
Whitney, I suspect in your case that it may be a matter of not pulling enough or too much fuel from the idle "table" in the PMS for your injectors, something that will require monitoring of your LTFT to fix. Have you ordered a datalogger yet? What size are your injectors again?
That sounds like what happened to my car in the beginning, it started up eventually and was fine all day, now two months later, I have the problem I described to you a few days ago....hope that doesn't happen to you. We still need to hook up to do the compression test...

Datalogger will be here next week, Palm should be here tomarrow. I suspect its due to an over-rich condition during start up but im not 100% sure. Im running 450's with a resistor box.
