Slowest turbo install ever.

It was over a year ago that I took the original turbo kit off to get my engine rebuilt to run some more serious boost. The engine was finished the rebuild last Winter and I drove it for a full year with boring 9:1 compression pistons and with the 550cc injectors.

Finally everything has been put back together. I finished the install with Rick last Friday. I put the electronic boost controller in today. I still have a good amount of tuning to do, but the car pulls real hard and even now is real fun to drive. Everything is real quiet with no exhaust leaks and the turbo spools up like a train.

Most of it is custom. The only thing left of the F-Max kit is some of the IC piping, the intercooler, and the turbo itself. The only thing I'd really like to upgrade is the turbo sometime, to a T3/60-1, but they're pretty expensive and I don't see it happening soon.

Most of my money is now going into a CRX track car that I'm sharing with a friend.

This is underneath with the oil return line:

Very nice!! Whats the filter by where the Batt is normally located? I didn't see a pipe coming from the turbo.

The compressor faces the drivers side of the car, not the passenger side like normal. I don't have A/C, so I have a good amount of room on that side.

The filter on the passenger side is for the HKS Type-R (I think it's a type-r, it came with the kit) BOV. Anyway, while the car is in vacuum is breathes in through the BOV, so it gets it's own filter.

I'm running 1 bar. The engine can take more, but this car is relegated to street duty, so I'm not running any more than that.

Looks good. Have you been able to dyno it yet at 1 bar?

I just got it going on the weekend. I haven't even tuned it properly, yet. It's running pretty rich on boost.

I wont be putting on the dyno for a while. Frankly, I really don't care about a dyno graph as long as it's pulling hard and not giving me any problems.
