rebuild...h22a4, h22a, h23/vtec?

SUp everyone,
In about 6 months or so, I'll be getting my engine rebuilt, but I can't decided whether I want to rebuild my h22a4 or not. Currently, I'm thinking of 3 different options;
A) sticking with what I have,
B) buying a Japanese h22a and rebuilding it
C) buying an h23 block, rebuilding it, and using it with my current vtec head.

I guess I should mention that I have an SH and that I'd like to rid myself of ATTS. If I go with B or C, I'll be replacing my transmission as well.

My questions are; could an h23/vtec setup be just as reliable as an h22a if the engine is built properly?

If I change blocks, which transmission should I get and how much do they usually cost?

Would it be worth it to do an engine change, or should I just stick with what I have and build it to handle crazy boost?

I plan on having an 11 second car in the near future. How long is my SH tranny gonna hold up if I stick with plan A? (how long would any honda tranny hold up to that)

Thanks!
Canek

try to find a h22a1 long block and tranny...if you can't get the h22 tranny, then try to get a h23 one....if you get a long block and tranny, then you can sell the SH block & head, tranny, ATTS controller, and ecu as a package

that is what i'm doing....i got a closed deck h22a1 long block sitting in my garage that needs to be resleeved....i'm going to slap the h22a1 head on my SH block since the SH head already has work done to it and i'm going to try to sell the SH engine, tranny, and computers together

So you have the USDM H22a1 as opposed to the JDM H22a correct? Are those less expensive than the Japanese ones?
