Prelude F22/H23 Boosted Built Plan

My goal is building a 350-400hp engine. The plan is a F22 steel sleeved block with a slight .020 overbore. I picked the F22 crank because of its larger journals and better rod to stroke relationship. I will be using Pauter rods, forged 9.0 to 1 compression full floating pistons with chromoly pins. ARP main cap and head studs along with other hardware will hold it together. A H23 DOHC head with some porting and a H23 intake will be used. A stage 2 Crower FI camshaft is planed. I'm unsure which exhaust manifold I will use. I plan on using a 60-1 Garrett T3-T4 watercooled ball bearing turbo. I will use an ovesized or untapered throttle body. I will use a Tial 38mm wastegate. I'm not sure on with blow-off valve I prefer. A large FMIC with 2.5" piping is planned. Water/Meth injection will also be used. A 3" downpipe and full system will be made. I'm trying to decide which ECM I'll use for tuning. Injectors will be 650-750 in size. Boost will range from 8 psi to 25 psi.

This is my plan so far. It will go in a 1992 5 speed Prelude Si I picked up for $300.00. I'm sure I missed some details in my build plan.

Your input is apprecated.

A Walbro 255 will be used. 750's should work fne with a rising rate fuel regulator. 1 pound of boost = 1 psi of fuel. It worked great on my 425hp 05 SRT-4 ACR I had.

sounds like you need to rework your plan, just do a h22.

Also, if you have an upgraded ECU then there's not need for that rising rate BS. Just ditch the cost of it for upgraded injectors.

It will be cheaper to buy a good F22 engine then buying a H22 and putting steel sleeves in it or my H23 block.

I already have the H23 cylinder head which will flow better then a H22, F22 non-VTEC DOHC head. I was also concidering running a 1mm oversized exhaust valves.

I have had great results using a 1:1 rising when a check valve is used to block off vacuum. I start with 40 psi of fuel and a maximum pressure of 65 psi with 25 pounds of boost. This allowed me to keep the pulse width on the injectors lower and I found it easier to tune.

the goal seems good. good luck trying to reach it. im heading for the 500hp mark with my lude. same year as urs. main things, h22a, bore, port polish, stroker kit, turbo, N20, etc. spent 20,000$ into my eclipse so i know ill end up spending more in this one.

why would you use a rising rate with a tunable ECU? Just buy larger injectors. The F block is great for boost BTW.
