Potential New blower on market for lude....

Not that anyone here is about the vortech blower on a lude, but I thought Id share. www.rippmods.com is considering making a blower kit for the lude. Check it out and let them know if you are interested. They make good numbers on alot of other cars. Worth checking out.

Maybe if they made a whipple charger, but I've NEVER been impressed with any of the centerfugal superchargers short of the extremely high power ones. Which are worthless on the street. And the only reason why those are good is the fact that they can be intercooled with the Roots is just "hard" to intercool.

With a centrifugal supercharger, wouldn't you get more boost on the low end compared to a turbo since it's belt driven?

No, the boost increases with RPM, not exhaust flow, and the ratio is fixed, where exhaust flow changes with engine load.

You get all the disadvantages of turbo and superchargers in one lame package!
Waiting for "spool" (boost increases with RPM, and not linearly.) If you size it for boost off of idle, you'll overrev the supercharger or blow the engine at high rpm.
Parasitic drag from driving the supercharger.

Sounds like a fun party!
