I'm currently switching my car from Nitrous to boost, should I change my spark plugs back to OEM style plug or would it be better for me to continue running my 1 stage colder plugs that I had from my Nitrous setup? Will it hurt anything to leave the Zex plugs in??
In switching over to a boost application, I would stick with the One Step colder than stock NGK's (BCPR7ES I think). Working out okay for me so far, and it's what my tuner reccomended. I believe similar principles apply.

Well my Zex plugs are one stage colder already that I was using with my nitrous setup but since I've changed things up I was wondering how the colder plugs would affect performance if any. I don't think there'd be any difference in gaping between the NGK's and the Zex plugs unless someone else knows differently
No the zex plugs come pre-gapped so that shouldnt be a problem. Plus they shouldnt effect performace at all for FI cause they have a heat range specifically designed for nitrous, supercharged and turbo applications.

yeah those plugs are bad for boost, those two ground straps just add more room for detonation, they arent needed at all.. theres a reason why a single ground strap NGK plug make 700 whp all day long, with no problems.. not to mention you cant tell how the motor is running (timing wise) by trying to look at 3 ground straps on one plug

Ok, I'll buy that. But why would a company like ZEX owned by Holley, who's had plenty of experience with nitrous recomend a three prong plug for their nitrous kits when a main rule of thumb in using nitrous is to eliminate or reduce detonation? If it were true that three prong plugs actually increase detonation over say a single prong application then why have them at all? How much of a difference are we really talking about here? Is it marginal?

one word, Marketing
i can tell you that, you wont be able to make 500whp with zex plugs
